Yankee Farm Credit, a leading provider of credit and financial services to the agricultural community in Vermont, western NH and the Champlain Valley of NY is looking for someone who is passionate about agriculture and who wants to be involved with supporting local farm businesses to ensure their success. This position could be located at our Derby, St. Albans, Middlebury, White River Junction or Williston VT branch or in our Chazy, NY branch.
As a tax professional, the Senior Financial Services Specialist prepares clients' income tax returns, provides tax planning and processes clients' financial records and payroll. This position also assists with training both internal and external clients.
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred, expert knowledge of income tax preparation and accounting standards; a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a closely related field; a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar function or role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions of the job. Position requires successful passage of the Farm Credit Tax Specialist exam within 1 year of hire.
