We are located a few miles from I-91(interstate) access. Ideal for one person, max two people. No pets but will consider.
The cottage has a full and fully stocked kitchen, bathroom - including linens and towels, with shower, 1 bedroom, living room (bedroom and living room share the same deck), and front entrance room that’s great for a separate office space or for other living needs. There is a washer/dryer unit is also in front area. You’re also welcome to have a garden in the meadow if you wish. It is a bit shaded however. Cottage has private deck and meadow access.
Please note: the cottage is fully furnished. It can be unfurnished but our preference is for furnished because we do not have storage space for this furtniture, and may need it to be back in the cottage at some point in the future.
Rent includes: water, heat, electricity, wifi, and driveway snow plowing (not shoveling of private entrance walkways or decks). Parking (1-2 vehicles) directly - a few feet from - the cottage's front door is also provided.
Tenant is responsible for: trash, recycling, and private walkway/deck snow shoveling (driveway is taken care of by owner). While still close to town, we are on a rural road and we don't currently pay for this service on our land. You're welcome to sign up for trash and recycling pick up for a added fee, or take it there yourself. We take ours ourselves.
You definitely need 4-wheel/AWD if living on this mountainous property. Both the main road we are on, and also the driveway, are both steep and get very icy. The main road is well-maintained, and we have our driveway plowed out during snow storms, but regardless, a car that can handle this can be necessary.
No smoking (inside), no illegal drugs, no bonfires, no loud parties. We live on the same property, in hour house above the cottage and we value your privacy as you would value ours. No pets. We are the owners and live on the same land in the house just above the cottage.
Note: Four-wheel drive/AWD is sort of necessary for living on the property due to mud season and snow and ice on the mountain road.
Move-in date is flexible. Month-to-month lease required.
The cottage and our surrounding property/acre of land is a welcoming and safe space for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC persons.
Rental Terms
• Rent: $1600/month
• Background Check Fee: $25
• To move in - first and last and security deposit of 500
Good references, good credit and background check and sufficient income verification required.
$25 background and credit check for each adult residing in the apartment.
In addition to a rental application, tenants are required to provide a copy of a valid form of identification and proof of income.
