ANTIQUE Double-Hoop OXEN YOKE

-This is a beautiful antique wood and metal double OXEN YOKE in excellent condition for its age.
- Description: This is a wonderful piece of history for display. All pieces are intact.
- It has original blue paint on its wooden body. It has not been re-touched or varnished. Photos taken on different days/with different backgrounds show the color variation.
- It would look wonderful mounted on a wall indoors or outside on a barn, garage or fence.
Measurements: Length: 52", Height: 22" (hoops) , Depth/Thickness from front to back: 4 to 4-1/2"
The Metal ring has a 7" diameter.
The price for the ones on Etsy run $530 to $650.
In researching this antique, it appears it was made between 1800-1900. The description I found stated "This carved, wooden yoke captures the strength of oxen's necks and shoulders. The carved beam is placed across the back of the neck and shoulders of a team of oxen while the curved wood bows are secured around each ox's neck. Once trained and fitted with a yoke, these large, powerful animals can pull wagons, transport heavy loads, and plow fields."

We are easy to find on Route 105 near (but not on) the Salem-Derby Road.
