Exceptionally Rare Pair of Bohemian Grove Member Photo Albums (1911–1918)
Offered here is an extraordinary pair of original Bohemian Grove photograph albums, covering the years 1911 through 1918. Both albums feature original photographs by Gabriel Moulin (San Francisco), with provenance from the Staunton family. These privately produced volumes were created exclusively for Bohemian Club members and are nearly impossible to find outside of institutional collections.

Volume I (1911–1913)
Brown pebbled boards, gilt-stamped "Bohemian Grove" at center.
Gilt name of David Staunton at lower right corner.
Approx. 10.5" × 7" × 1", 2 lbs. 4 oz.
Contains 48 photographs spanning 1911–1913.
Each photo numbered and stamped on the verso with Moulin's round studio imprint ("Gabriel Moulin, Photo, 153 Kearny, SF, Cal").
Spine cracked but intact; contents complete.
Volume II (1918)
Brown pebbled boards, gilt-stamped "Bohemian Grove 1918".
Gilt name Dave Staunton at lower corner.
Approx. 11" × 7" × ¾", 1 lb. 7 oz.
Contains 24 photographs from 1918.
Binding sound with light shelf wear; excellent condition for age.
This album differs in that only the final page bears a Moulin stamp, while the inside front cover features a gilt rectangular cartouche: "Photographed by Gabriel Moulin" (see photos).
📸 Photographer
Gabriel Moulin (1872–1945) was the official photographer of the Bohemian Club for decades, capturing both the Grove and San Francisco's cultural life. His work is historically significant, and albums bearing his stamp are highly sought after by collectors and institutions.
📚 Provenance
Both albums are from the Staunton family, with David ("Dave") Staunton's name gilt-stamped on each cover. The Stauntons were members during the Grove's early 20th-century history, adding strong provenance to this set.
