A collector's treasure, 1850's. Folding lap desk has interior compartments, original deep maroon velvet surface, with wear and tear shown in photos. All original hardware in good working condition, includes functional key though there is some damage to the wood where the lock would turn into. Original oak finish, minor scratches and blemishes. Ready for action as a cute stationery keeper.
