I'm selling this Trek 2300 road bike that I inherited for $250. The frame is ZR9000 Custom Alloy. I'm unable to determine the size it was sold as, but it's most likely a large (it's previous owner was 6 feet and I'm 6'2"). It has certainly seen some aging and was not used for many years. However, I have just put $250 into it to get into shape.
Here's what's brand new on the bike:
- inner derailleur cable
- inner brake cable
- brake cable housing
- derailleur cable housing
- continental ultra sport 2 tires
- drop bar tape
- brake pads
The bike is super light and has ridden nicely on the few short rides I've done since having it worked on. Its next owner will probably want to work on the front derailleur (and potentially other aspects of the front portion of the drivetrain), as the shifting between the 3 front speeds is a little cranky. If you stick to the middle chainring on the front, your shifting in the back is smooth sailing!
Located in South Royalton. If you’d like more photos, I’m happy to provide that.
