Selling our Bic Tobago tandem kayak. Designed for two adults, plus one small child. Plenty of room for bringing stuff, fore, aft, and center, by strapping on the deck or the space in between the paddlers.
We love the design of the Tobago, and of Bic kayaks in general. They are comfortable, durable, paddle great, and look great. We bought this when our children were young so that we could all go together. Now that they are grown, the Tobago is a bit much for one paddler, so we have switched to the Bic Bilboa.
TAHE bought Bic Watersports and this model is apparently still being produced. You can order a new one for $875 (plus sales tax), but they are impossible to find in stores now. (Paddleboard Specialists is selling it for $1100, check https://www.paddleboardspecialists.com/collections/tahe-kayaks)
Stored outside (flipped over) during kayak season and indoors the rest of the year. This technique seems to work, as there is no obvious signs of sun damage.
This kayak is well used, so it has needed several repairs. We replaced the black plastic parts in both the bow and stern, so these are perhaps 4 years old. (Fortunately, you can still order OEM parts.) Replaced the rear carrying strap (the one with webbing), so that is brand new.
We had a leak in the bow (right next to the black plastic). We repaired using duct tape. Not pretty but it seems to be doing the job. Rated it Fair for this reason, otherwise would have rated it Good. Also, the top and bottom connection separated at the mid-section drain, which we fixed by inserting a hose connector and caulking (check the last photo). Sounds a bit dodgy to fix this way, but it was a perfect fix, works well, and is barely noticeable.
We live near St. Albans Bay, so we would be happy to let you test the kayak in the bay. If you find any problems that I missed, we can adjust the price accordingly.
