I think back to Christmas a long time ago.
I was at the age of my grandson that night.
Glad that my grandpa was holding my tight.
Waiting for Santa, hoping he'd bring
Sailboat and soldiers, and other good things.
That night he gave me my first OREO,
Sweet cream inside, as white as the snow.
A twist and a turn and a taste and I knew
Santa would surely love OREO too !
He did come that year, and every year after,
With sugarplum smile and a heart full of laughter.
Now through the mists of midnight I know
