We purchased this Jetta about ten years ago as our "spare" car. The car has been adult owned and cared for but we no longer need a spare vehicle. It had 111,500 miles on it when we bought it in 2015 and we put 81,000 miles on it in the 10 years since then. The car was serviced at DexPart in Walpole for VW-related repairs and otherwise at Red Wrench Auto in Springfield for routine maintenance, undercoating and inspections. Timing belt and water pump were done at 160K. Bob Metcalf replaced two front fenders and trunk not too long ago.

Its a reliable car but needs exhaust and some cosmetic TLC. The car just passed inspection in September 2025 and then recently the exhaust let go. It will need to be replaced from the engine back. It starts and drives just fine but mighty loud without the exhaust. We have regularly undercoated the car however the rockers are getting soft. There are various spots of paint loss that need attention and the clear coat is worn on the hood and roof. The headliner is sagging and the fabric door panels are as well. Seats, dash, glass, floor and mats need a trip to the car wash but otherwise above average. Rear struts were replaced recently. Engine, clutch and brakes are working good.

The car comes with a set of new mounted snow tires on new steel wheels and a fairly new set of mounted 3-season tires on aluminum wheels. It also comes with a roof rack.
