EXTENSIVE work needed. Best suited for someone who can do their own work on the truck. Would be good for on farm use.
Truck is being sold as is. Pick up Bethel, VT - no delivery.
If the post is still up, the truck is still available. The post will be removed when the truck is sold.
***The truck needs a LOT of work to make it safe to drive again. It would cost a lot to get the truck back on the road.
Known issues per mechanic after a brief courtesy inspection (there may very well be other issues that were not readily apparent in this visual inspection) - C/S: Truck would not start in 3/2025 - so it's been sitting.
• REPLACE FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE (Original fuel pump module fell apart. Plugged in used fuel pump module, and the truck started right up. *** the used module was pretty rusty... shop did NOT like the looks of it... but it got the truck started so it could be brought into the shop and looked over)
• REPLACE STRUTS and COIL SPRING ASSEMBLY (The left front spring is broken, the right front strut is leaking)
• REPLACE BROKEN LEAF SPRING (The left rear leaf spring is broken, broken leaf taken out so it would not fall out on its own and cause problems)
• EXHAUST REPLACEMENT, MUFFLER AND TAILPIPE, WELD ON NEW CONVERTER FLANGES (The exhaust is broken at a flange and the tailpipe on the muffler has broken off)
• FRONT AND REAR BRAKE REPAIR: Replace calipers, pads and rotors (Visual inspection through the rims & what could be seen without taking the brakes apart, is that the brakes are very rusty and partially stuck on. Calipers condition unknown)
• REPLACE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS (The front and rear bumpers have rust holes in them. IF you wanted the truck to pass inspection the bumpers need to be changed)
• REPLACE RIGHT PLATE LIGHT BULB (The right plate light is out)
• WIRE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT BACK UP (third brake light in the cap is out because the wiring was broken - IF you wanted the truck to pass inspection, the lights would need to be fixed or the cap removed)
• CABIN AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT and CLEAN OUT ALL MOUSE NEST (The cabin air filter is plugged with debris)
• NEEDS: New battery, new tires, oil change (The rear tires are bald in center)
Additional notes from shop:
• June 8, 2025 - The underbody and frame have a lot of flaking rust.... but is still very solid. All the undercoating done saved it from rusty holes from sitting during a very wet and rainy 3 months. (Truck would not start in March 2025, towed to shop beginning of June 2025)
(Truck sat at the shop from June to September as all options were considered)
• September 18, 2025 ***2 year vehicle at the most - The frame is very rusty / lower control arms are getting weak / The battery was dead.... had to use the jumper pack to get it inside.... the battery needs to be replaced // the belt squealed the whole way into the shop.... the pulleys are rusty.... the squealing is either coming from the belt, the pulleys or the alternator.
