Wtfrick is the 86'Relief Team? Glad you asked. Our 86'Team consists of pro chefs, that step in and cover whenever a restaurant is short-staffed, requires temp coverage or needs help with catering gigs. We cater to all different needs, from covering as a Line Cook up to covering as the Exec Chef. You get to bounce around from restaurant to restaurant networking with tons of chefs and restauranteurs along the way. Most of our assignments last 2-6 weeks, and before it's over, we will re-send you the list and you get to choose your next assignment and off you go.
We offer full-time, year-round gigs with us (you’re always guaranteed 40 hours every week), or you can work with us on a part-time/flex-basis. Our pay will range from $20-$30/hour, and you get overtime for all hours over 40, plus 1.5x holiday pay. You’re also paid weekly (every Friday) via Direct-Deposit.
You can take time off whenever you feel like it because we believe in a work/life balance.
We try to keep assignments as close to your hometown as possible, and the longest you would ever have to drive would be 30-40 minutes, but ideally, we keep you within 10-15 minutes (or less) from your home. We have a total of 63 full-time and 14 part-time/flex chefs on our team now, and all of them are kept wicked busy, even in the winter!
But, what we’re most proud of is the fact we care about our 86’Team. Maine Cater was built by chefs for chefs, and always has your best interest at heart. You can ask any of our chef's questions before joining our team because we’re very transparent with everything we do.
