This wood-burning fireplace insert has three controls to regulate performance. 1, air control supplies oxygen; 2, a damper directs the flow and 3, a fan (rheostat) regulates air flow into the room.. The system is designed for heating the home, not just for aesthetics, so it requires attention to operate, (like any wood-burning system) but it will stay lit overnight and burning for many hours once you learn to properly operate the dampers. It will provide many hours of service.
