A beautiful Persian rug, a typical Malayer which is a Nomad rug, pre-owned in very good condition. Professionally cleaned. Hand-knotted, wool on cotton foundation. Full healthy pile, lays beautifully flat. Nomad motifs, intensive colors, a bit on the dark side, from vegetable and mineral dyes. Malayer is a town south of Hamadan. The rugs from Malayer and the villages around are of a single wefted like Hamadans. They are popular among collectors. Size 7'1" x 4'6".
