This is a rare Thiers Issard, Sabatier (elephant and stars) professional quality knife. Fully forged, the nogent style means the blade, bolster and rat-tail tang are formed as one piece and tightly fitted into the handle with a rivet at the end. The aluminum ferrule is between the blade and handle. Thin and light, they are precise and great to use. Nicely balanced in your hand. A great addition to your collection, or to upgrade to a beautiful blade.
Brown wooden handle is in excellent condition. Logo on handle is almost invisible, but there is the elephant and stars. Blade has a nice patina and shows some wear on the edge, but it is nice and sharp. Overall length is 14 3/8".
