Get this American-made dual-sport motorcycle now and be ready for Spring! Selling because I am planning to buy a new adventure bike.
Highways? Check. Paved roads? Check. Gravel and dirt roads? Check. Snow? Sure! Freedom and unity? Check.
Loud and powerful Harley engine? Check. Nimble and swift? Check. Comfortable yet rugged? Check.
Own a dirtbike-styled adventure sport tourer made by Erik Buell under the Harley Davidson wing. This is a unique and extremely intelligently built American motorcycle. Fuel in frame, oil in the swingarm, low center of gravity for some solid handling. Mojo overload all around. You can find all sorts of info online, here's a link, read away:
This is a rugged SUV of motorcycles. In fact, more like a Jeep Wrangler. Practical AF. Grocery shopping is no longer a chore if you need an excuse to go shopping or if you *have to*. Plenty of space for helmets and/or 5 12-packs. Who cares that a 5-mile trip took a couple more hours and a 100+ more miles on the odo.
39K miles. No known major issues. Needs nothing but a new rider. I am the third owner and love this Uly but am planning to get a more serious adventure bike. I buy and sell a bike every other year, so it's that time. Recently VT-inspected through June 2020 and tuned up (battery, plugs, plug cables, oil change). Almost new on/off-road Continental TKC 80 Twin Duro dual sport street-legal knobbies rated up to 99 mph. (Got a used stock front tire as well, you'll need to get a rear tire if you want to go into triple digits on interstates). Myself, the peeps at the Harley dealership in Essex Junction and the good dudes at The Daily Rider have always been good to this machine.
The photos should give you a pretty good idea about the bike. Here's a short video of the gloppita-gloppita-potato-potato Harley sound:
Two sets of keys, a full set of luggage (2 side cases and a top case). A PDF owner manual. A spare used belt. Clean title in hand. Miles will go up, the weather is too beautiful not to ride.
The previous owner applied black PlastiDip coating on some sections of the side cases which I have been touching up from time to time - you can peel it off for more shiny silver plastic or keep it stylish black.
I have a philosophical objection to owning garage queen bikes, so it's not detailed. That would be shall we say unnecessary considering I'm out in the mountains and on fire roads a lot.
Sold as-is, no warranties. Mileage will go up as I still ride the bike from time to time.
The asking price is competitive for the condition, age, and miles, but reasonable offers based on comps will be considered. Clean title, the bike is fully paid off. Test rides with your cash in my hand and with a valid motorcycle endorsement on your driver's license. Checks are accepted but must clear before releasing the bike/title.
