Lates 60's Ideal MIJ kit. It's a Sonor stencil, which is very cool! I haven't seen one around yet. I got it off the original owner who got this kit new as a teenager. Overall it's in great shape. No shell cracks! No wrapping cracking! It definitely has some as expected pitting on the hardware but nothing crazy.
Luan with poplar centers with solid reinforcement rings! I put new heads on all drums top and bottom (new snares as well, Pearl bass reso was a new head I had on hand) about a year ago. I've only played it a few times since. It's just been sitting in a closet taking up space. It's a bummer because this kit sounds great. I have other late 60s drums and limited space, so it's got to go.
I was surprised that it didn't do just one thing. I tuned it low and high with success. This would be a killer studio kit, or a every once in a while gigging kit. Not an everyday gigging kit. I mean, you could, but I wouldn't.
Snare throw works surprisingly well. The tom mount is included (Tom is on snare stand in pics). It has the cymbal arm mount on the bass drum as well, but I don't think I have the arm. I was given a box of random stuff with the kit, so I can double check.
