Vintage 1985-1987 Fender Performer 4-string bass in original Candy Apple Green finish.
Produced only from 1985-1987, this bass is a collector’s dream and a player’s delight, featuring a sleek, contoured alder body with a striking offset double-cutaway design that turns heads. The slim maple neck, paired with a smooth rosewood fretboard (24 frets, 34” scale), offers effortless playability for everything from funky slaps to intricate, extended-range runs. Equipped with two single-coil pickups in proprietary sealed covers and Fender’s innovative TBX (Treble Bass Expander) tone control, this bass delivers a massive tonal palette, from crystalline highs to thunderous lows, adaptable to any genre from jazz to metal.
The Fender Performer bass guitar was strikingly ahead of its time - Designed by John Page and manufactured by FugiGen in Japan it's rare to come across one of these.
It doesn’t show well in pictures but there are scratches and dents but this bass is rock solid and ready to gig.
A very nice Levi gig bag is included.
