Rare Vintage Custom Shop Gibson Alpha Q4000 Super Strat

Very interesting and rare Gibson superstrat from the 80's.
These early Custom Shop Q4000 models are quite rare and feature an HSS pickup configuration and an original Kahler bridge unit. Q series models are interesting well made instruments that definitely have a vibe and look that reflect the time period in which they were made
Color is called 'Olive Metallic'; Gray at first glance but olive tones in the light.

Mahogany Body and Mahogany Neck with an Ebony Fingerboard.
Kahler Flyer (USA) tremolo bridge.
This bridge is amazing; you can bend down till the strings are flopping and when you release, it is back in tune.
Grover Tuners

Two single coil Gibson pickups in the neck and middle position.
Gibson Humbucker pickup in the neck position.
Volume control has a push/pull switch to split the Humbucker into a single coil.
Separate on/off switches for each of the three pickups offers endless combinations for tone.
All original except one of the pickup toggle switches was replaced.

Includes Original Gibson Hard Shell Case

A lot of stories float around about this guitar.
It is said that this guitar was designed by Charvel/Jackson for Neil Schon
Supposedly the Q4000 custom shop consisted of only 4 prototypes of which this is one.
Later the Q series was mass produced as the Q3000/Q400 and Q300 series; each with different pickup designations.
