Looking for Home to Renovate for Affordable Housing Market 1

Contractor transitioning to patent law after graduating law school later in life. I would like to live in and renovate homes eventually to listed in the affordable housing market. Gut wrenching to see so many properties fading to collapse when so many people are more than willing to rent or buy a weathered home with a basic update. I would like to eventually grow this effort into a non-profit where retirees/volunteers can assist in the renovations. I have all the knowledge after 40 years in the business. I have the skills to perform high-end finish work on down to the most basic repairs. I can use the help from real estate savvy retirees/volunteers who can contribute to assist in devising a method to build such an organization. I would also like to document the effort on social media to encourage others to contribute to the cause. Part of this effort is to share knowledge from the trades.
