Seeking one cool, creative, reliable roommate in our 3 bedroom Lakeside neighborhood apartment.

The space is available October 1st with a new lease and teeny tiny rent increase starting November 1st. Your monthly rent would be $800 for the month of October bumping up to $833 for the next lease cycle. 1st month's rent and an equal deposit are required upon signing a lease. The lease will run from October 1st , 2025 to August 31st, 2026 with an option to renew.

Utilities are split in thirds. We pay for Electric (Burlington Electric) and Internet (Burlington Telecom). Monthly, on average, those run about $65 per person (a little higher in the winter). Gas, sewer, trash, compost, recyclables, water, and snow removal are included in our rent. Heat is provided via natural gas, distributed through baseboard heating elements throughout the apartment. A/C in the hot months is provided via a very effiecient mini-split unit.

There is space for one vehicle. Not off-street parking but we are situated on a very quiet dead-end street and there should be no issues with finding a consistant spot in which to park.

As you will see, we have a beautiful oasis here! It's a sanctuary, a refuge, and a balm for the senses. The photos don't really do the living spaces justice.

We are near a clean, safe, quiet park and are in close proximity to the bike path, the Burlington Earth Clock, Oakledge, and several beaches. It's a short walk or bike ride to City Market's South End location.

Art Hop, Farmers Market, Arts District, Generator Maker Space, Hula, bakeries, restaurants, Petra Cliffs, Nomad Coffee, and more!!

Your room: 9.5 ft by 11 ft. The large closet space measures 2 ft by 8 ft and includes abundant shelving. Quiet, sunny, and spacious. The bed that is pictured can stay or go, depending upon your needs. (We think it's a queen sized bed)

The apartment and it's amenities: 3 bedroom, I bathroom bottom floor of a duplex with its own private entrance and a screened-in covered porch. The very cool, very chill landlords live upstairs with their older children and one well-behaved dog. This unit is their only rental.

Large foyer, medium-sized cozy living room, large sunny kitchen with full-sized fridge, a ton of storage space, dishwasher, gas stove, view of the lush back yard, and door to a small back porch and the large glorious yard with garden beds, pollinator garden, picnic table, fire pit, and seats for enjoying it all.

In-unit modern full-sized stacked washer and dryer in the bathroom. Full tub with shower.

Basement storage.

Us: two professional peeps in search of a compatible roommate. One of us works a hybrid job (some days at the office, some remotely, M-F), the other works out of the home 5 days a week (M-F) and also has private counseling clients some evenings. One of us has an extremely early start to their day so you being a night-owl is fine if the noise at night is kept to a minimum.

We are so busy and have such intense work lives that a quiet home life is necessary. The best fit would be someone who values a right balance of togetherness and solitude, who appreciates and respects the need for low sensory input for rest and restoration.

Loud pastimes such as gaming, watching TV or movies, etc are in no way prohibited but *would* be best pursued with headphones on/earbuds in. Cultivating a sensory-friendly and neurodivergent-affirming environment is a priority.

Weekend movie nights, art gatherings, game nights, and shared meals are fabulous when time and spoons allow. Ditto parallel play.
Most other times, cozying up in our own spaces is the vibe.

Every so often we go out to cultural events or go out for a meal or exercise together. There is zero pressure to participate but always an invitation to do so.

We are both multiple flavors of Neurodivergent and queer so it helps if you are too. The right Neurotypical and/or cis het person could work, with the right dynamics and chemistry. LOL!

You are: responsible, honest, direct, authentic, reliable, a good communicator, love nature, have a great sense of humor, are emotionally mature and open-minded, and are enthusiastically LGBTQIA+ affirming... Those are the non-negotiables.

Being a conscious foodie and/or artistic/creative helps. We both love to cook and create.

Vertical climbing, bike riding, British mysteries and comedies, true crime, puzzles, cooking shows and food related documentaries, foraging, photography, music, history, the paranormal, podcasts... If you have any of these Special Interests or hobbies: awesome (but they are not requirements)!!

420-friendly but *only* in outdoor spaces, please and thank you. No smoking of any kind indoors.

Contained pets such as lizards, snake, fish, etc, which would be in your room might be considered. No furry mammals, please, and no birds. The landlords have the final say on that.

If you feel like you would be a good fit here and visa versa, the next step is to reach out through the link provided. Please tell us about yourself and provide a best mode of contact/communication.

After reviewing, we will reach out to set up a video chat and tour or to schedule an in-person meeting and tour.
