Single dad with a 8 YO daughter looking for a roommate to move into a semi-furnished room in our house in Essex Jct. Close to the Bus Route, Amtrack Station, and the shops around 5 Corners.
• The room is the master bedroom with private bathroom and shower, king bed and dresser. The rent is $950/month and includes all utilities (internet, water, heat, electric)
• Washer/dryer in the basement, shared living room/kitchen.
• Parking for 1 vehicle off the street
• Looking for potentially longer-term rental but short-term rentals are fine too, no formal lease or deposit required. However, I do ask for 1 months’ notice if you will be moving out to plan for the next potential renter. Simple agreement will state that rent will be due between the 1st and 10th of the Month and that the renter will not cause any damage to the property outside of normal wear and tear.
• Looking for a chill, laid back person to share this space with me and my daughter. A working professional, traveling nurse/doctor, teacher is ideal, but all will be considered, and we will choose someone who is the best fit for us.
• Please no smoking, and ideally no pets, but that could be negotiated depending on the animal and if it gets along with children.
• A bit about us: She’s an active and outgoing 8-year-old with a passion for art, music and Barbie’s. She will be in school and aftercare Monday - Friday from 7:30- 5:30 and I work full-time. I do work from home on my office days and in the field for the other days. We are active in the neighborhood and enjoys riding bikes, having friends over and enjoying the spaces around town. She will be in the house on Saturday PM through Wednesday Am.
