Some of the rental cost may be offset by helping with outdoor chores, which is encouraged... ask about rent deductions. There is no kitchen access except by special one-time arrangements. No animals are permitted. (Two cats live in a gated-off area on the ground floor.)
We are looking for a grounded, fully sober and conscientious person as a helpful tenant... with references and a stable income. Background checks may be required. No smokers, alcohol, drug use or pets please.
Included: Heat and utilities, high-speed Internet, microwave and fridge with freezer, as well as a bed and basic furniture, many bookshelves and two tables (see photos). Access to the in-house washer/dryer can be arranged.
This rental room is a separate unit in a single-family house on an acre of land in Plainfield village, managed by 7 Generations Trust. The house and land are only a few blocks from the bus stop, bookstore, Positive Pie, Cutler Library and the Plainfield recreation field, and a 15-minute drive to Montpelier. There are gardens and a flock of chickens on the land.
