Seeking a single, non-smoking individual for temporary roommate. Preferably female, but a male who just graduated from high school construction program with carpentry skills and a job lined up, will be considered. I have a beautiful space available soon (I have a new window scheduled to be installed in mid-September). It is basically two rooms, one is for sleeping, the other is extra space for doing computer work, yoga, or playing music, or just for storage. I am willing to consider an older cat, (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, indoor cat only). I will be renovating a downstairs apartment, not really by choice, but because my last tenants left without notice, and there are damages. The apartment would be available to you when renovations are completed. Depending on what kind of funding I can come up with, I'm thinking of turning it into a studio apartment with access to an exercise room (basically a place for yoga mats, weights etc., maybe I'll try to locate an exercise bike?), or it could stay a 1-bedroom apartment. It would be all new, so you may have some "say" on whether it is furnished or unfurnished, and possibly on colors also. If you have some smaller furnishings, we could possibly find a place to store them, but you obviously wouldn't need much. There is a very small bathroom in the apartment, and small kitchen, but I will design things differently to gain more space in the kitchen. It is really more suitable for one person, therefore it really doesn't make sense to have huge appliances in there! Lots of light! Three housing/landlord references preferable! If you are in your '30's, you most likely have some rental references, so please provide them. Ideally, you will also have worked at the same location for a while, or if you are young, you will have a good job lined up. The room includes utilities, the apartment does not, but I am 99% certain that nobody has paid over $65/month on either electric or heat. I'm not sure what I'd charge for the apartment when all is said and done, but I'll try not to go too much higher. Great location! A mile from the hospital and not far from the dog park (when you are in the apartment, a small dog would be allowed). Walking distance to Taylor Park, shopping, and restaurants! Please message me with all your pertinent information that may help me in getting to know you, and I could show it in early September.
