This unique walking stick is a custom made vintage folk art item . The shaft is bamboo and the knife was custom ground down from a round piece if steel. The handle and base were custom wrapped in twine of some sort. I have seen many hidden knife canes that were factory made but never a primitive made stick as such. Found in the work shop of a gent from Rutland, Vermont (RIP). He was a carpenter and avid outdoorsman. I have posted the condition to be excellent. It has obviously been well used but a really nice example. I believe it is unusual to find such an item let alone one in good shape.
