Good, nothing wrong, Lennox 100,000 BTU natural gas furnace!!! I was in the heating business 30 years. I replaced at 7 or 8 years ago. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT! SERIOUSLY.!
It sat in finished basement… I just now finally got it out because I am disabled as of my military injuries taking their final toll.. I was a very well-known reputable professional heating system specialist licensed !!!!
I would not tell you this Furnace was good if it wasn’t it was running fine when I took it out. I only took it out because I bought this house and I wanted to upgrade it to a newer efficient furnace but the furnace I’m offering free is 80% efficient my new furnace is 92% efficient. Guess what I saved maybe $15 on my gas bill yeah 80% efficiency natural gas is not gonna cost you much money at all in this furnace was heating 1100 ft.² home beautifully! I can’t believe it’s still sitting here all wrapped up covered up weatherized and nobody’s been smart enough to come and get it.
Vent into a chimney or a chimney that means a metal type Chimney. You need 50 ft.³ of air per 1000 BTUs majority of the basements if you have a large basement should be adequate, but you can calculate it out measure up your basement. see how many cubic feet of air you have my basement room air was marginable ran with no issues as older homes have a lot of air coming in. But technically you need to check just to make sure you got enough air in your basement. I just measuring up the basement itself. It’s not hard.
It’s an old style what is called category one Furnace it basically is like anything else out there today that goes into a chimney and uses room air…
This would be good for someone’s garage or workshop. No to the best of my knowledge it cannot be converted to propane you could call your gas company. Tell him you got an old Lennox natural gas furnace. Ask him if you have to change the gas valve? Or can you just change the orifices And readjust the manifold pressure?
Everything is free, but you must take everything all metal.
